Kathryn has been a part of the MSNV team as a Primary Co-Lead for 8 years. Prior to joining the MSNV, she worked as a Montessori Primary assistant while obtaining her Montessori license from the Northern Virginia Montessori Institute in 2016. Kathryn graduated with her bachelors degree at Radford University in 2014. When she is not teaching she enjoys fitness classes and spending time with her husband and her baby boy!
Jennifer Leresche knew at an early age that she wanted to work with children. She graduated from Shenandoah University in 2009 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After working as a Kindergarten and PreK teacher she found her true love of working with toddlers when she became a preschool teacher in 2015. Jennifer is currently working toward her AMS Montessori certification and is excited to bring her new knowledge into the classroom. Outside of school, she enjoys relaxing, playing games, spending time with her husband and their puppy, and staying sharp on her Disney trivia.
Peter earned his Bachelor’s degree from Shenandoah University, where he studied Technical Theatre. He also holds certifications in Microsoft Education Practices as well Apple Education. He has worked at MSNV since 2011, and has held various roles. With years of experience working in area theatres and churches and having won several awards for his theatrical designs, Peter has co-taught MSNV’s summer theatre camps for many years. Outside MSNV, Peter runs a theatre company, Outside the Box Theatre. He is an Apple Certified Teacher and Technician. He is a trained Emergency Medical Technician and has training in emergency response and emergency management, as well as an American Red Cross Trainer along with other emergency and first aid training.
Ms. Xin brings a unique blend of technical expertise and teaching experience to the classroom. She’s spent the last four years working in a Montessori classroom where her keen sense of problem solving and profound love of learning have been on display. Her passion for Montessori will undoubtedly enrich the students of Sugar Maple.
Katrina earned her B.S. in Hospitality Management from James Madison University and her M. Ed in Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary Education from George Mason University. Prior to rejoining MSNV, Katrina taught in FCPS for three years. She is excited to be back with the wonderful MSNV community!
